To watch Waterloo again…
Or simply to play Fields of Glory? Decisions decisions.
Fields of Glory, by the way, for anybody who enjoys computer games is fucking ancient and so fucking ancient that it has in fact become free at Abandonia.
It’s a strategy game focussed upon the ‘Hundred Days’ campaign, fought in 1815, the last gasp of the Emperor Napoleon. It’s quite amazing, despite its primitive nature. It takes a while to get used to what the hell is going on but a basic understanding of Napoleonics and so on should be enough to get you started.
It’s great great great wonderful fun.
Especially when you direct the Old Guard up towards La Haye Sainte at Waterloo as Napoleon. Trying to beat Wellington before the Prussians get there is a joy.
